"Give God Your Money" lyrics by Mike Anderson

I used to praise him and his superstar
But after watching Sunday tube, I know just how things are
He don't want your praise, he don't want your love
He don't want obedience, God wants your bucks

Give God your money, he can't get enough
Cause up in heaven , things are kinda tough
Angels on welfare, they need a helping hand
Give God your money or you'll be damned

God's threatening preachers with certain doom
Hid extortion racket is a financial boom
Hey, you came through, his disciple didn't die
We all made a payment to the gangster in the sky

Give God your money or people will die
Give God your money - he's through being nice
Don't bother praying - write out a check
Give God your money or he'll wring some necks

It's corrupted leaders. It's corrupted kids.
It's corrupted everyone - that's what money did
The root of evil is a real vice
But I'm afraid the evil's won - it's corrupted Christ

Give God your money, don't be proud
Just stick it in an envelope and send it to the clouds
Don't know the address? Well, give that cash to me!
I'll see he gets it, I guarantee
